Then came 2016’s “Wanderlust,” an oddly compelling collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, and last year’s contemplative and decidedly low-key album, “The Breaker.” How all this will play out on stage here is anyone’s guess, but expect at least a few twists. But that changed with Little Big Town’s 2014 album, “Pain Killer,” and its standout hit, “Girl Crush,” which added welcome depth and bite to this now 19-year-old Alabama quartet’s music. June 15, Corona Grandstand Stage: Up until four years ago, Little Big Town sounded like an even more innocuous version of Lady Antebellum. But the group’s propulsive hits - “Macho Man,” “In the Navy,” the inevitable “Y.M.C.A.” and more - remain tried and true, so break out the spandex, gold chains and platform boots, and get ready to boogie down with your bad self. Their San Diego-based lead singer, Victor Willis, rejoined in 2017, after a 37-year absence and now leads an entirely new lineup of Village People. No still-active group from that era epitomizes disco’s infectiously campy appeal and unabashed gyrations like the Village People. June 7, Paddock Stage: Young man! Forty years after its commercial heyday, disco is resurgent again, with the La Jolla Playhouse-bred “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” up for several Tony Awards on June 10.
